Goed hardheid ASTM A789 S32205 SAF Duplex 2205 1.4462 Naadloos buisje
SAF Duplex 2205 roestvrij staal heeft een gemengde microstructuur van austenite en ferriet en is een tweefase legering op basis van de Fe-Cr-Ni-serie.Legering 2205 bevat minder nikkel en molybdeen dan austenitisch roestvrij staal en heeft een vergelijkbare corrosiebestendigheid.
Omdat de prijs van Ni en Mo relatief hoog is, wordt duplex roestvrij staal 2205 vaak beschouwd als een kosteneffectief alternatief voor austenitisch roestvrij staal.
Warmteweerstand
De maximale temperatuur voor toepassingen in duplex 2205 roestvrij staal is over het algemeen lager dan 300 °C (570 °F).omdat het hoge legeringsgehalte en de aanwezigheid van een ferrietmatrix het vatbaar maken voor broosheid en verminderde mechanische sterkte, met name hardheid, als gevolg van langdurige blootstelling aan hoge temperaturen.
