De duplexroestvrije stalen zijn een familie van roestvrije stalen. Deze worden genoemd duplex (of austenitic-ferritic) rangen omdat hun metallurgische structuur uit twee fasen bestaat, austenite (gezicht-gecentreerd kubiek rooster) en ferriet (het lichaam centreerde kubiek rooster) in ruwweg gelijke aandelen. Zij worden ontworpen om betere corrosieweerstand, in het bijzonder de corrosie van de chloridespanning en chloride het kuiltjes maken in corrosie te verstrekken.
